Proske looks back on a fast-growing fiscal year 2022
Press release
Munich, 11.01.2023.
25 percent increase in net sales, plus 20 percent more employees than at the end of the previous year: Munich-based event agency Proske GmbH looks back on 2022 as one of the strongest financial years in its company history, which now spans 37 years.
“2022 was a very successful year for us,” according to shareholder René Proske, for whom co-CEOs Larissa Steinbäcker and Markus Struppler manage the day-to-day business. Further corporate customers have opted for project management and consulting services from Proske in the past year.
Digitalization and sustainability drive business
Especially since the start of the Corona pandemic and the increasing, global digitalization also in medium-sized businesses, the company feels a strong momentum for its business. “The meetings and conference industry is currently undergoing a radical transformation – driven by the two megatrends of digitalization and sustainability,” observes co-CEO Larissa Steinbäcker.
“In the process, we are increasingly seeing our clients actively driving and prioritizing the issue of sustainability.” Proske has set itself the task of not only calculating the climate footprint of events and conferences more accurately – but increasingly helping to ensure that it is significantly smaller in the future.
Two out of five events already (partly) virtual
For face-to-face events as well as for purely virtual or hybrid formats, Proske already offers the possibility to precisely calculate the individual climate footprint and to advise customers on how to reduce emissions. For live formats, Proske is the only agency worldwide to cooperate with TROOP, one of the world’s leading database-based platforms for supporting face-to-face meetings. Proske and TROOP have been working together for some time and intensified their partnership in spring 2022.
The share of virtual and hybrid events as well as first projects in the metaverse already accounts for around 42 percent of all projects at Proske – and the trend is still rising.
Proske’s consulting business also grew strongly in 2022 – for example, in financial services, in monitoring sustainable supply chains, or in metaverse event consulting. Proske will continue to expand these areas in the coming years.
New major client from the pharmaceutical sector and new account director
The new Account Director Nadine Wiedemeier is also expected to become a driving force in Proske’s further expansion. She joined Proske in November 2022 as the former team leader at AMEX (American Express Global Business Travel) and now strengthens the management team there with her knowledge. In the future, Nadine Wiedemeier will be the central and strategic contact person for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical company, as well as internally managing the corresponding employees.
The events to be organized range from advisory boards, speaker meetings to HCP meetings and congress side meetings in the DACH region.
